We all know that the last one to see the puck is the one between the pipes. With the speed and quickness of today's game every goaltender needs the proper skill and balance to succeed. At Polar Ice Sports we specialize in goalie skill development. Learn the basics from the stance all the way to the advanced butterfly catching save. The most difficult position on the ice is the Goaltender.
Our trainers work to educate, develop, and maintain clear focus for goalies in the net at all times, for a goalie must regroup and be at their best shot after shot up to 100 times per/game. This is why they need the most intensity of all. 1 on 1 and 1 on 2 is our best training offered for goalies. We also offer off ice classes to help them understand how to stay focus in game pressure ,communicate with player/coaches and dryland training to excel their work ethics. Mental stability in Goaltending can be very strenuous for players and families.We survey to find out what betters our athletes to reduce the STRESS & PRESSURE of being a goalie !

Hi Graham
My 7 year old son is a first year goalie and we quickly found out that there were very little instuctions for this position in the leagues. I brouht Sean to POLAR ICE SPORTS hoping that he would learn enough goaltending basics to help prevent him from being shelled!!! I have to say ,we are thrilled with the results!!! Kyle was able to assess his play and began working with him in providing fun but valuable instuctions at a level that Sean was able to undrestand and master. Throughout his training,Kyle gradually introduce new elements reinforcing what he already learned and you could see Sean's confidence level rise. In Sean's last seven games of the play offs, he has allowed only 3 gaols including 5 shutouts,, that's a testament to Kyle's ability as a trainer and professionalism of the staff of POLAR ICE SPORTS and we look foward to many more sessions in the near Future!!!

We were recommended by a friend to come to you guys because our son,who played defense in house league,had decided his real dream is to be a goalie ! After having a free evaluation with Chris and Graham ,we signed him up for a program a few weeks before the Whitby Novice tryouts began.After several weeks of working with Chris our son was chosen for the Whitby Novice A Team. This was a true testament of Chris's devotion to the game of hockey and his ability to coach young kids. His patience is unwavering and preservance with plenty of positive feedback and reinforcement to the kids.
